Today my friend Cheryl and me went to the Freixenet prosecco garden party at The Kings Arms in Knowle.
After the weather forecast not looking so great for this weekend, the sunshine was a pleasant surprise and it lasted all day. We couldn't have picked a better day to bring on the bank holiday!!
Freixenet offer a lovely prosecco in a really gorgeous bottle and it is surprisingly delicious. I have always associated Freixenet with the cheaper brands of effervescent wine shall we say like Lambrini etc but they've really revamped their image with the swanky bottle and the taste is great. It definitely doesn't taste like Lambrini!!!
The Kings Arms is a great little place with an outside seating area right next to the canal and you can take your dog too as they're super dog friendly (even inside) and it's cosy in winter time because they have an open fire.
I've been here many many times before as you'll have seen from other blogs and would say that it is my "local". You can't really ask for a better location for a country pub.
The food is great too, with plenty to choose from and all presented really well. They've recently heard my prayers and started offering brunch, so check out their menu here.

If you go to the Kings Arms, be sure to let me know. Maybe I'll see you there!
