For my May Favourites (admittedly a little late), I’ve picked:
New Look Shape & Define Eyebrow Kit.
I love this, New Look has some awesome make up and I have heard (I don’t know how true this is) that they get their make up from the same manufacturer as Mac. That’s got to be good, plus their products are way cheaper.
I like to define my brows and I just think the wax in this pallet is great for separating the hairs and making them look fuller. Purchase here.
This website, guys!!
Now this isn’t particularly a “May” favourite, as I discovered this website about two years ago but of late I have been purchasing a lot of things from this site as I am going to New York on the 8th July.
The quality of the items are quite good, in fact some of the items are actually from other shops such as H&M (does anyone remember when H&M was called H&M Hennes?) – Anyway, I digress – This site is great. You MUST read the reviews of the shoes particularly, as it will give you an indication of whether they are true to size (more so than the clothes) and if I am honest, the shoes do tend to be 50/50 whether you get a decent pair. Generally I have been happy with all that I have purchased from here (which is a LOT).
There is something so satisfying about adding items to your order and then not having a heart attack at the total price when you click to view your basket!!
Pepsi Max Ginger
OMG I love this. I mean, yes you can pretty much get the same taste by adding fresh ginger (which is like pence from the supermarket) to your normal Pepsi Max, so it was a bit of a gimmick but it was a spur of the moment purchase.
I have been drinking a lot of ginger flavoured things lately, so it inspired me to just add fresh ginger to my pepsi max. I have been doing it a lot during the lovely warm weather we’ve been having!
This Essie Nail Varnish
During the Summer I do tend to change my nail varnish quite a bit, especially on my toes. I don’t know why though, but it always makes my finger nails feel dirty. This is part of the reason why I change it so often because I generally can’t stand that feeling of not seeing what’s under my nails. This colour is a perfect nude. It is called High Class Affair and it has been my go to colour since May. You can get them from Superdrug for £7.99.
My HP Sprocket
I actually got this for Christmas, but I go through phases of using it a lot and last month I did so much fun stuff that it was permanently in my handbag. It is a little printer which DOESN’T USE INK. It uses Zink paper, which means zero ink. Fascinating!!!
I have no idea how it works, but I assume it is along the same lines as a Polaroid camera. You use the app on your phone to select an image, whether it be direct from your social media or just from your camera roll, you can edit it, put a border on it and then… print! It takes about ten seconds and the best bit is, the paper is also sticky, so you can peel the back off and use them to stick wherever you like! They’re £99.00 from the HP store.
Meet Tolly. I made him from this bear kit that I bought from Christie Bears, which is pretty much like a haven for all things bear. I opted for the kit, as I don’t make enough of them to purchase all of the bits and plus, it works out cheaper to get the kit. It took me about four hours to make him, which was split over a few days and I am really happy with the result. He’s so cute!
Join me next month for my June favourites.
