I wanted to share with you my favourites, which actually turned into March and April rolled into one. Well, it is my first “favourites” blog, so I you can’t blame me for being a little over excited… and forgetful!
Firstly skincare, I’ve been loving Clarins Super Restorative Night serum. It makes my skin feel super soft, it soaks in but also feels Like there’s something on my skin which I love. You can check out this item from the Clarins range here. This was a large sample which I got when I bought a couple of their other products. You’ve got to love their super samples!
For my make up favourite, I’ve chosen Max Factor Skin Luminizer Miracle foundation. I use the shade 40, light ivory. I recently did a blog called Foundation Wars where I rated the ones I’ve used. In the blog I said that I loved the feel of this best, but I’d unfortunately bought the wrong shade. Doh! I went out recently and bought a new one so I don’t look orange anymore. I like to go with my paler self because if I use fake tan, then I can always add some NYX Pro Foundation Mixer into it. If you don’t know what this is, go check out my other blog.
For fashion, I am totally in love with this oversized fish print shirt. It goes so well with my dungarees (which I live in most weekends) and it looks really interesting. I’ve also worn it with leggings and converse or my high waisted jeans. It’s a good all rounder. You can get this from Zara here and last I checked it was still in stock!
In electronics, I’m really enjoying Alexa, my Amazon Echo. The boy bought “her” for my birthday and over the past month I’ve been using her more and more. There’s still so much I don’t know, which is exciting. At the moment I use the thunderstorms skill at bedtime which gives me a really peaceful nights sleep. You can set a sleep timer too and I also listen to the radio every morning while getting ready for work.
For my lifestyle favourite, it has to be my painting evenings. As you may have seen, one of my first ever blogs was on my painting and sangria evening and I’ve since been to another one. It’s such good fun and this time I even took the boy along. To save his pride and manliness I must add that he only came because my mate had to work away and surrendered her ticket but he ended up loving it! This was my painting. For more info on the event, check out that blog.
In my Film/TV favourites, I’m totally reliving the 90’s and celebrating the 20 year anniversary of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, or BTVS. I don’t watch much TV at all and certainly don’t partake in the usual Saturday night crappy line up. Gone are the days of Gladiators, you’ve been framed and Blind Date when you didn’t have anything better to do because you were 12!! Anyway, I’m lucky enough to have all seven series’ of BTVS on DVD, so I’ve been binge watching… much to the boys distaste. I think he’s still reeling from finding out that I’m a little bit of a Trekkie. To buy the full set of Buffy DVD’s click here.
In food, my flavour of the month would have to be almond butter. I seriously love this stuff! I need to start buying it in bigger containers! Harvey loves it too as you can see (the jar was empty here). I particularly like it in my overnight oats (another favourite -recipe coming soon). The oats don’t look like much but it’s seriously good! To buy almont butter, you’ll find it next to the peanut butter in your local supermarket, or click here.
